Call for Pattern Testers!! ~ The Diane Tote ~

| |

2015-03-09 12.00.23 copyI’m in the middle of a few big projects right now, but I promised earlier I’d let you all know when The Diane Tote was ready for testing.  So here I am!

If you read my Diane Tote Post last week, I introduced you to my first soon-to-be released first E-pattern. At a comfy 16″ x 3″ x 4″ she is sure to fit your everyday items and more.  And now, 4 nice prototypes later I need a few of *YOU* to give the pattern a test drive.  Are you interested?

This is a confident beginner pattern I would say.  You must be comfortable with sewing zippers, as the main closure is a curved zipper install.  Besides that, it is fairly straightforward.  The Diane looks great with quilting cottons as well as lighter weight home decor too.

Basic supplies you will need:

1  yd          Exterior Fabric

1/2  yd      Exterior Accent Fabric

1/2  yd      Exterior Accent Fabric

1 1/2  yd    Interior Fabric

2 yds         Fusible Woven Interfacing ( I use Pellon SF101 for my woven interfacing.)

21”x 58”   By Annie’s Soft & Stable

17” x 5”    Heavy Stabilizer for bag bottom

1 – 14”      #3     Nylon closed-end zipper in your chosen color

1 – 24”    #4.5 or 5   Closed-End Zipper for exterior closure

2015-03-09 11.55.11If you are interested in testing The Diane Tote, please click on the Contact button at the top of this page! If you don’t hear from me about testing in the next day or two, don’t worry.  I’m setting up a MailChimp account and will e-mail you with more specific information about the testing and the tote.

I hope to hear from you!

BTW….you still have a few more days to enter my Fantasia Bubble Pouch giveaway. Head over here to enter!

  1. I’d be happy to test your pattern if you still need a guinnea pig. I’ve sewn several totes and gym bags before so I can probably do your pattern justice. I’ll also use trending fabrics to keep it pretty and stay true to the directions. Thanks!

  2. I’d love to be a pattern tester….my quilting days are past, I need new things now!
I’ve been sewing for over 50 years.
