Hello Three Day Weekends and Free Tutorials!
This has been one busy week! I am so happy Monday is an off day so we all can have an extra day of rest. The boys just finished their second week of school and already two of the kiddos have bad chest colds. Ugh! I guess even the largest bottle of hand sanitizer can’t prevent kids from sharing food, pencils and germs, huh? I see some vapor rub, bubble baths and cold medicine in my future.
Two awesome things were checked off my list today. The first one (and biggest!) was that I was able to finish my tutorial this afternoon. Woot-Woot! I am editing pictures and writing up the how-to’s so I hope to have it up this weekend. Wanna see a sneak peak?
Say hello to the Tie-Block Tote! Measurements, pictures and how-to’s for this cute tote will be all yours soon, so make sure you come back and visit this weekend to get all the information! The second major check off my list today was this beautiful bolt of fabric:
Have you had a chance to sew with Robert Kaufman’s Essex Linen before? The first time I used RK’s Essex linen was for my Craftsy BOM quilt. I purchased a few yards of the natural to use as a solid accent for my Saltwater fabric. I typically use 100% slubby linen for many of my bags, but this material is beyond wonderful! So I went to my go-to ordering site and picked up a few bolts of the Essex Yarn Dyed fabric. This is the denim color and I will be introducing it into my shop next week. I plan to add more colors as I can get them (they sell out super fast!) So if there is a color you like from this line, let me know.
Have a great weekend everyone and check back this weekend for the free tutorial! ~Cindy~
Hey I saw your comment on Camille Roskelley’s site- just wanted to recommend asking at your local quilt shop!
Thanks Sarah 🙂 I have a call in to ours so maybe they can refer me to someone. I also found the local quilting guild and will try there. I’d really love to try it myself, but that’s a whole other thing on my DIY list LOL!
