Introducing… The Up & Over Travel Pouch!
As promised, here are a few sneak peaks of my first e-pattern! It is called the “Up & Over Travel Pouch”. If you are the type of person that has many small pouches in your handbags but want to condense it down to one, this may be a pattern to try out! I hope to have the pattern ready to test in a few weeks and am almost finished with the copyrights. Spread the word if you know someone who loves to test patterns. This is easily a beginner sewing pattern that can be completed in under 2 hours! Don’t you just love quick projects?
Here is a shot of the inside of the pouch. This is my first prototype you see above. The interior has 3 compartments that are tied closed. The Up & Over Pouch was inspired by a similar pouch I had when my oldest son was a baby. The one I had was nylon on the outside with clear hard vinyl inside. For a mom with a baby, I loved it because I could pack all kinds of little stuff in it and pack it in the diaper bag or purse. Well, somehow during our last move I lost it. *boo-hoo* I looked online and around town to see if there was something similar but struck out. So a few months ago I told myself, “Duh! You sew! Make one yourself.” So I got out my drafting paper and got to work.
Here is a sideview, with a strap sewn in on the exterior for handholding. I’m going to fill up this one with a bunch of little toys to see how it looks a little weighted down. My next prototype will have 2 pouches (and more coordinated fabrics!!) so I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Hi Cindy, I like the look of the pouch. I like the fabric you used for it to. I’m up for testing your pattern if you would like.
Let me know, I think it will be fun.

Thanks! I’ll let you know when it’s ready to experiment 🙂
