My Tula Pink Quilt Market Tote
As I was organizing my blog photos this morning I came across my Quilt Market folder where I keep samples of items I’ve sewn for various Markets. When I opened the folder, it dawned on me that I had never shared a bag I was asked to make for fall Market.
The bag pattern I was asked to use is from Sara Lawson/SewSweetness called The Arabesque Bag. It is a free pattern and can be download HERE. If you are a beginning sewist and really want to try your hand at bag making, this is a wonderful pattern to start with. Straightforward and easy to customize.
A wonderful perk of sewing for QM is the opportunity to sew with upcoming fabric lines. The Arabesque Bag I made used Tula Pink’s upcoming line, Elizabeth! This is a super funky, colorful line and I can’t wait to get my hands on some more!
When I’m done sewing special bags like this, they have to be sent off quickly to make it to quilt market. So while I may have some leftover scraps to play with, these wonderful bags get sent off for everyone to see.
Man, look at my green backyard! I forgot what green looks like!
I’ve been so blessed to have had the opportunity the past few years to sew for some wonderful ladies! I hope I can continue this in the years to come (and actually attend a QM!!!)
