My Weekly Creative Reading ~ Austin Kleon

Have you ever had books on hold at the library and for some reason they ALL come in at the same time?  That is me this week, eight books ready for pickup.  So after buying a few emergency zippers at Jo-Ann’s this morning, I went over and picked them up.

The first two I’m going to tackle are by Austin Kleon. His first book is  “Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative”.  I have seen his name pop up on several blogs and have enjoyed reading the reviews, especially from sewists. I am excited to read his thoughts on how to share and show your creative process to the world.  Have you read this?  I’d love to hear your thoughts!

800px-Maturing_blueberryBesides my exciting weekend reading,  we are going to explore more of the CNY area. I know that we are in apple-picking county, but I have heard that blueberry-picking around here is pretty big as well. So we are going to go out and pick us some berries tomorrow.  I overheard the boys talking about using their Laser-tag coupons too, but I may have to veto that one as I will be the prime target the whole time! Nah, I’ll just send dad with them instead!

Hope ya’ll have a great weekend!
