Pretty Little Pouches
As my new site was being designed, I spent quite a bit of time sewing for my Etsy shop. I have 3 small accessory pouches planned for the shop so I was able to complete quite a few during my bloggy brake. Here is a little sneak peak! Now all I have to do is come up with a name for them and I’ll be all set. I am also in the process of working on hang tags, care sheets and some packaging designs for all my products (and use the yellow twine I found that looks so sunny!). So far, I am very happy with how things are going and cannot wait until I flip the “OPEN” sign over.
What I’m stuck on this week is finding a small folded tag for the outside of my bag. Ideally, I’d like a 1″ twill folded label with my raspberry on it. I’d love to have it embroidered, but I’m discovering that my not be possible. So now I’m researching stamping on twill or fabric and may head up to the craft store to experiment. Something tells me I may find it fun, but it may not have the professional “look” I’m after. Can anyone shed some tips or advice on how to achieve this?!
I am also teaching myself how to use Photoshop Elements 10. I found it nearly free at our local BJ’s so I couldn’t resist! I’ve been playing with it for a few hours now and am really surprised at how easy it is to use. The shot above is one I altered with Photoshop 🙂 Love how I can brighten the colors and make it look crisper. Everyone around me knows I am NOT the best photographer….no matter how much I want to be! Happy Tuesday!
