Riley Blake ~ May Mystery Block ~ Complete!

I finally conquered the Riley Blake May Mystery Block!  It’s not perfect but for someone who has never made a spool patterned block, it’s not too shabby, huh?  We were told to save the selvedges of our fabric to use for this months challenge and I’m so glad I did. You really use them up quickly.  The blue patterned fabric is from Amy Butler and I used natural linen for the accent pieces. I’ve kept the linen theme throughout this sew-along and will do so for the final one next month.

I think when this sew-along is done I’m going to frame them then put them up vertically in my sewing studio. There is a small angled wall where they would look perfect! Then again, maybe I’ll continue and make some more on my own!

Oldest is having his end of the year FFA banquet tonight and I have two more Boy Scout uniforms to patch up so off I go for now. Have a good one! ~Cindy~
