September BOTM! The Highline Tote by Betz White
Today is the day I can finally show off my tester Highline Tote!! This is the September BOTM Club patter designed by Betz White.
The Highline Tote is one of my favorite designs: large and multifunctional. And by multifunctional I mean this pretty not only has handles for a tote, but also can be worn as a sling AND a backpack!
If you’re carrying your tote by the handles your straps will be attached to the front secured by stitching and an accent panel that also keeps your front pockets closed. One of your front pockets also has a flap with hidden zippered pocket as well.
The Highline interior has nice roomy pockets and a zippered pouch. The finished bag measures 16” H x 17” W x 4” D. I was not only able to fit all my daily purse items, but could put my laptop and EPP project bag it in too. Love a well designed roomy tote!
The back of your bag will have the hardware and unique zipper strap that will allow your tote to be used as a sling or backpack. And don’t worry, sewing the zipper strap is very easy to do.
This is not a difficult sew, but it does take time. (And SO worth it!) Read through the entire pattern and layout everything before you ‘dig-in’. I would also suggest you label your cut pieces to help keep everything organized.
