Sparkly Linen Goodness ~ New Handbags ~

Wow, it’s been over a month since I posted! Geesh. With school back in session I am sewing away and using my calendar to plan all kinds of things! So please stay tuned as I have book and pattern reviews coming up as well as shop updates and current WIP to share!

With the holidays fast approaching I’m sewing during any spare moments I have.  Besides the 10 (and more coming!) types of Essex Yarn Dyed Linens I stock, I am listing new handbags of my own design and of popular designers you know and love.

The handbags I have listed today are the Dot-Dot-Dash Handbag Pattern by Sew Sweetness.  I tested this bag for her several years ago and loved it so much!  I’ve made quite a few since then, but over the summer decided to try it at a reduced size.  I made the one you see above (with yummy Tula Pink!) and used it all summer. It was perfect for outings or small trips with the kids or family.  I am so glad I ScotchGuarded it too because it got a lot of use.  1The 4 I have made the shop all use popular cotton fabrics and Essex Yarn Dyed Linens and Metallics.  Pellon SF101 is used on all exterior and interior pieces and Bosal InRFoam was used for exterior padding to add shape. YKK zippers and nickel hardware complete the look.

2The 3 exterior pockets are long and tall enough for sunglasses, receipts, money or even little kid-toys we all end up stashing in our bags.  I also include a small top zippered panel to keep your interior items secure.  Each handbag was also created with an adjustable strap so you can decide how you want to wear it.

I hope you head over to my Etsy Shop and take a closer look. I have a ton of photos per listing and would love for you to stop by!  Happy Thursday
