WIP Wednesday ~ On Thursday
I had great plans of sharing a few finished blocks yesterday, but mother nature had other plans. We got a good foot of snow between late Tuesday night and Wednesday night. It was pretty fluffy snow, but WAY too much of it! Of course this meant cancelled school, playing in the snow and a impromptu Minecraft man-fest in the basement. The boys had a lot of fun and kept busy which is a good thing.
I did manage to finish two blocks last night. This one is the February Sugar Block Club – Mercy. For some reason, these types of blocks I struggle with, but I went really slow with this one and am very pleased with the turnout.
The second block I completed was my personal challenge with the 163 Patchwork book. Translated, this block is titled Mississippi. Very simple clean block. I am keeping the blocks I do from this book to 8 inches, which is perfect.
The next block in the 163 Patchwork book looks like it’s going to be a good challenge, so I’m going to start on that today. But before that, I have a huge birthday to get ready for tomorrow. My oldest is hitting the big 1-3. I have a big red-velvet cake to bake and a dining room to decorate today. Have a great day and thanks for reading! Cindy
