WIP Wednesday – Sugar Block Club!

|

I have been cutting fabric and interfacing all day, but wanted to share my WIP with you before I head back to the ironing board.  I received my March Sugar Block Club e-mail this weekend. Amy’s theme for this month is a great one, and I really enjoy the stories and recipes she shares along with the wonderful quilt blocks. This month’s block  was a new one for me, and while it was time consuming it wasn’t as hard as I thought!

Sugar block club - MarchMy fabric was picked with total randomness this month. There is Kona and Essex Linen, which will be in every month’s block, but the rest of the fabrics came from my larger scrap bin.  It’s funky, but I am so pleased with how it turned out. I really look forward to Amy’s e-mail each month and can’t wait until April. I’m such a fan-girl!

163 Patchwork BlockI also finished my personal weekly challenge in the 163 Patchwork book.  I couldn’t translate the title of this one so I may e-mail a bloggy friend to see if she can. Like the last few, I enlarged the pattern and paper pieced it in 4 sections. Super easy and I was able to use some of my Kawaii fabric stash and some low volume prints from Pink Castle Fabrics. If you would like to see more Patchwork 163 Blocks, head over to the Flickr page and check it out.

I’m linking up with Lee today for WIP Wednesday with Freshly Pieced! Have a great evening!
